Duffstep's debut album Getting To Sirius was a pleasant surprise that nonchalantly straddled genres and was characterised by real warmth throughout. Here Join the Dots present a round of remixes from the album, with the main focus on "Your Touch". Merc boss Mark E leads the way with a typically sumptuous remix that's far too well produced to dismiss as mere nu-disco. Retaining the melodic warmth and horizontal feel of the original, Mr E adds his own, less gentle rhythmic leaning which lends proceedings a whole new sonic angle. My Best Friend overseer Riley Reinhold takes the track on a subaqueous house tip that gets better as it progresses. Session Victim opts for a deep and dubby version and young Melbournian Francis Inferno Orchestra delivers a shimmering, Sunday BBQ friendly refix. Loose Fit and Social Monster retweak "Love The Freak" and "My Kiss" respectively, rounding off a highly impressive remix package.
