Review:
Cluekid delivers a couple of stripped back cuts here on the Bullfrog imprint which delve beneath the surface of the current dubstep aesthetic and into a stark, sparse soundscape from which the genre originated. "Grim" starts with a feeling that you are trapped in a small, confined space with a distorted vocal sample adding to the gloom. The track progresses with only belching sub bass and ticking percussion to guide you through the darkness. "Lost In Space" continues the narrative with spaced out atmospherics, gloomy sub bass booms and hissing hi-hats. A curious release here from Cluekid that is well worth checking.
