Review:
UK duo Spektre (Filthy Rich and Paul Maddox) have been tipped by the likes of DJ Mag as being one of the "hottest names in minimal", which isn't bad for something which started as a side project. Their latest on the mighty Global Underground sees a rare locking of horns with another much tipped duo Miniminds, a Belfast double act making waves on Phobiq, Respekt, 8 Sided Dice. 'Guillontine' is all about the solid proggy groove sure to add a twist to the standard set and its buzzing lead zapping left to right throughout like a fly on acid. An equally wicked remix on the flip comes from Christian Smith.
