Review:
This second instalment of Runaway man Marcos Cabral's Hamilton Dance Records series of edits-not-edits is every bit as essential as the first. But where that casually flitted between proto-house, early garage and Italo-dance, this second volume smoothly moves between Guerilla-era dub house, jackin' anthems (see the thrilling "Get Get Get") and house-proud piano jams. As ever with Cabral, there's a distinct New York feel to proceedings; even the EP's fluffier moments - check the dubbed-out New Jersey garage of "Better Think Again" or the swirling Italian house of "Sym Phon" - feel like they've been designed to rock illicit Williamsburg house parties.
