Review:
A wonderful cover of Siouxsie and the Banshees' "Happy House" from this new Belgian boy-boy-girl trio, released on Kitsune with a stellar batch of remixes thrown in. Always an indie-club favourite, "Happy House" is kitted out with urgent key stabs, an electro bassline and some loud splash-snares, yet remains very faithful to the original, with tribal toms and Siouxsie Sioux's slightly teutonic delivery replicated by Shindu. Italian producers Herr Styler speed things up and add some epic piano chords, while Midnight Savari evoke Moroder's "E=MC2" sound on their mix. Polydor strips things back and adjusts the vocal pitch to create something a little more yearning, while JBAG creates a blissful, phased and feather-light piece of electro-disco on his excellent mix.
