Say hello to a collection of remixes taken from ROJ's debut album Hip To The Jive. With a solid funk narrative, told with a truly organic tongue, the 2011 LP put the band on the map and marked them as an act with real promise. There's always a danger of remix albums tainting the good work of the original, but thanks for some great A&Ring and arrangement this flows just as smoothly as the original... A fantastic listening experience and it harbours a huge amount of DJ fodder in the process. Featuring nu funk upstarts such as Tim McVicar and fresh faced jazz fiends Dusty, the whole set swells with a free-spirited, party-minded groove. Highlights comes in many shapes and sizes, but if Andy Taylor's rub of "Blow Your Horn" doesn't make you want to leap on the first table and start doing the lindy hop, or Printempo's emotional take on "You Better Run" doesn't make you feel all warm and squidgy inside you've got something seriously wrong with you.
