Mexican duo Moon Runner deliver their strongest EP to date, this time for Dicky Trisco and Pete Herbert's Maxi Discs imprint. "House Track One" has a New York '87 feel to it, all dubbed out proto-house riffs, chunky beats, twittering synth flutes and neat boogie touches. Mr Herbert remixes, adding some Balearic (or possibly Adriatic) flavour alongside a thunderous synth bassline. "House Track Two", meanwhile, goes deeper and dubbier whilst retaining the same proto house vibe, sounding not unlike an early Paul Simpson house production with a slightly tighter groove. An excellent package concludes with Dicky Trisco's bouncy, piano laden re-cut.
