Rumour has it Cluekid picked his name because his dad, grandpa and great grandpa were all private detectives. Others say he actually wanted to call himself Shoekid because he loves his trainers. One thing we can agree on is that he's a veteran producer with serious skills. The title track says it all; purring at fine 140 with rhythmic glee, cool synth washes and a pulsating heartbeat bassline, it's the ideal balance between deep and meaty. The wonderfully titled "Snotling" accentuates this furthermore but with an added 'haunt' factor and some really nifty bongo work while "Extraterrestrial" gets even colder. A highlight for the raver massive comes in the form of "Pluto", a switch- flipping jungle shock out loaded with bubbling Amens and an icy, nagging descending hook.
