Review:
Despite being seriously hyped - largely on the back of giving away some very good deep house material on Soundcloud - London combo Jack Fell Down are doing their best to remain nameless and push their "we do it differently" credentials. This debut commercial release for Southern Fried shows a willingness to mix things up in search of deep house perfection. So, we get nagging disco guitars and Visionquest-ish grooves on "I Want It", bluesy, early morning blissfulness on "Anyway" and soft-focus, feelgood retro-futurism on "Everybody". There's also another freebie in the shape of "Deepest Sleep", a shuffling, dubbed-out slice of saucer-eyed slinkiness.
