Apparently the culmination of two years of studio work, Right also follows a traumatic period in the author's life. It goes some way to explaining why these techno tracks are so harrowing. "Tomorrow Is..." and "Promised" are fast, insistent rolling tracks, full of noisy stabs and heavy bass thuds. "To No One" sees Gurd slow down the pace, with acrid acid lines seeping through the heavy drums. However, Dave Clarke quickly picks up the pace again and his remix of "Promised" is underscored by merciless kicks, over which grinding riffs spiral their way to a mesmerising crescendo. It may have been inspired by traumatic events, but Right is full of life.
