For their third release, Bravura have turned to the lesser-known talent of Jonathan Kusuma, an Indonesian producer with a penchant for intense electronics, spiralling melodies and hypnotic analogue grooves. Opener "Blob" sets the tone, crunching heavy, cowbell-laden percussion over throbbing electronics, darkroom textures and humid synth pulses. "Waves Form" is an altogether deeper affair, with dreamy pads and near Balearic melodies jostling for position over a hissing drum machine groove. Bedouin Trax remix, turning the undulating original into a tactile chunk of twenty-first century tech house. There's also a fine foray into old skool electro territory in the shape of "Re-Alignment", which is arguably the EP's strongest moment, creating seven minutes of cold, sparse future-funk with an industrial edge.
