Review:
Abstraxion may hail from France, but you'd be forgiven thinking he was Italian on this stomping, discofied romp. Rather than the clunky beats of a lot of the current retro Chicago house music, "Jus Acid" positively steams ahead with the kind of propulsion that made Italo disco so popular, and it works here a treat. On the remix tip, In Flagranti take things on a more cosmic house tangent, while Jacque Renault slopes in with a weird, discordant and utterly brilliant take. All three have their merits, but Renault wins out for pitching the perfect creepy late night vibe.
