Review:
Kitsune's signature sound - that meeting place between indie rock aesthetics and sequenced beats - gets a thorough celebration on this new collection from one of the healthiest labels in the world. Some come via remixes - for instance Azari & III's Balearic-acid treatment of Creep's "Days", or Ponciau's radical and very playful reimagining of Gallops' math-rock instrumental "Miami Spider". Other acts just have dance music in their DNA - Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs for example, or The Touch (as on the excellently noirish "Sermon"). Wherever they get it however, this collection is brimming with indie/dance hybrids from 17 upcoming bands that won't fail to impress.
