Swiss production duo Konfront have got it right, haven't they? Blending the smooth lushness of contemporary liquid D&B with the soulful sounds of the old-skool, there's a maturity in these two tracks that hundreds of producers have failed to reach over countless LPs. In first track "Running Away", scarpering amen breaks keep the rhythm flowing over jazzed-up piano and guitar interludes as a big funky bassline casually strums its part. "The Warning" gives a different side to the producers, with a harder vintage sample carving out a dubby vibe before upright bass pushes things into hard stepping beats. Summer perfection.
