Review:
Following a smattering of remixes, newcomers Casino pop up on James Curd's Greenskeepers imprint with an extended EP of synth-laden goodness. The five tracks on La Vendetta display a love of classic synth-pop, nu-disco and piano house, with nods to Balearica (see the Spanish guitar solos and twittering melodies of "Echoes") and Benoit & Sergio/Holy Ghost-ish disco-pop (check the baggy synth swagger of "Dragons"). It's a musical mix that ensures far more hits than misses, with the high octane Eurodisco-meets-piano house pump of "Flight To Nowhere" and deliciously bouncy "White Water" being the most notable highlights.
