Review:
Canadian party-rockers Neighbour and Think Tank join forces once more, and it's another no-nonsense chunk of peaktime, p-funk-influenced fun. As the title suggests, "Lando" sees rapper/producer Think Tank pay tribute to the tache-sporting Star Wars character of the same name, dropping decidedly old school rhymes over Neighbour's squidgy electro-funk backing. It's simple, fun and very effective - just as you'd expect from Neighbour, really. The remixes offer strong variations on the same theme, from four-four filter-funk (Tal M Klein's excellent version) and sprightly electro-disco (Tad Wily) to sneaky party breaks (Funkanomics) and something in-between (GSD). Something tells us the fictional space ranger would approve.
