A super tight release on the label Optimum co-runs with Hyperdub's hotly tipped act Ikonika. First up, "Light Year" pairs deep rolling subs with house style beats and some enticing buzzing synth work, It's got a similar driving energy as Instra:mental's classy cut on Skream's Disfigured Dubz, "Voyeur". On the flip DS-10 employs disorientating chopped up vocals with rippling beats and smacking snares for a dubbed-out sound that is reminiscent of Boddika's recent output, with that dark soundscape and bleepy electro pattern which will appeal to electronic music fans from across the board. Sterling stuff.
