Review:
Berlin-based Jesse Rosse made his name with the fidget sound, but Night sees the London DJ take a deeper, more introspective look at house music. "Stop Look & Listen", Rose's collaboration with Henrik Schwarz, is a tantalizing, woodwind-led arrangement, and the deeper end of dance music is also represented on Maya Jane Coles's stepping "Little One", the cowbell-laden "Paris 2006" by Axel Boman and with Induceve's "Papillion", where a slamming rhythm plays host to sensuous strings. However, it would be wrong to assume that Rose has entirely abandoned his bumping past and it is audible on his remixes and edits of Telepopmusik and Joe Goddard - and his wired, bleepy reshapes of classics from Hardrive and Claude Von Stroke.
