Review:
After a much-praised debut for Ninja Tune, Raffertie follows up on the success of Visual Acuity with this second EP. A more intimate and experimental mood takes over on this sophomore release, with the title tune working jittery Amon Tobin textures with a nod to R&B and some seriously spacey textures, while "One Track Mind" rocks a gigantic arpeggio riff worthy of Vangelis in his pomp. The space-disco odyssey continues into the brilliantly vague and blunted kick drum fest of "Brevity" while the EP is rounded off in style by the airless and warped 2-step of "Courage Boy".
