Review:
Following releases on King Street Sounds, Delusions of Grandeur, Freerange and Circus Company, Spanish deep houser Guiseppe Tuccillo pops up on another esteemed imprint, 2020 Vision. This time round, he's pushed the boat out, offering up three differing slabs of heavyweight dancefloor funk to tickle our collective tastebuds. Lead cut "Without You" builds a jerky but addictive rhythm around the twin attractions of a dreamy vocal and prominent disco guitar sample, while "Mathematics" delivers a smooth and sensual deep house groove. Yet it's the more boompty-flavored "Password" that stands out, thanks largely to a driving groove, Derrick Carter-ish swing and wicked old skool stabs.
