Review:
ID & Skinnz rarely disappoint, and if their second release on DJ Pinch's Bristol based Earwax is anything to go by, they aren't about to start. Tribal chants, percussion and an eerie build up lay the foundations for opening track "Most High" whose stomping tribal rhythm makes this one perfect for the heads-down dancefloor crew. The second drop introduces Amen breakbeats and an altogether jungly feel, switching things up unexpectedly but agreeably. Following an altogether more spacious, minimal direction, "No Love" is laden with intriguing and elaborate samples, tribal voices, interesting drum edits and an ever-changing guise that maintains interest levels throughout. A choice offering.
