Review:
Excellent tropical house and minimal bass swagger from Hungarian posse Slap In The Bass on this new release for No Brainer Records, which has already had glowing praise from Roska, Crookers, Surkin and Boys Noize among many others. "Nada" is a perfect collision of icy, dancehall-influenced drums and R&B strings, while "Goma" goes all out on a tech tip with some sinister echo pads married to a clap-happy 808 beat. Recent Boys Noize-approved producer SCNTST kicks up a monster reworking of "Nada" that seems him brutally chop the original over some industrial siren rises, while Wafa Night use those distinctive string hits as a launching pad for an acid-fuelled odyssey.
