Kid Goodman isn't a kid, though he may be a good man. It's actually a pseudonym for Russian producer Ivan Gudkov, who built his reputation via a series of illicit reworks of familiar disco-era hits. "Nice And Slow" is his debut release, and sees him delivering the sort of shimmering, slo-mo house fare that should tickle the fancy of anyone who enjoys the work of Nicholas or 6th Borough Project. It actually sounds like a classic, early '90s house record pitched down to 100 BPM. Remix-wise, there's a deliciously slow rework from Relife, a thrilling electrofunk-meets-piano house tweak from KG Dance, and an odd but endearing garage rub from Symbol Skrip.
