Review:
Craig Stainton and Nigel Rogers relive the best of classic Chicago and UK deep house on Time. Unlike the vast majority of contemporary house productions, these tracks have a genuine warmth and depth, and, when coupled with the swinging rhythms and tumbling drums, stand hand and shoulders above their peers. From the sensuous bass and eerie synths of "What Is & Has Passed" to the mysterious melodies of "The Shadows Cast by Tomorrow" through the heart-tugging strings of "Memories Of The Future" and the irresistibly melancholic keys of "New Dawn", this is an exemplary release to be filed alongside Larry Heard and Jamie Read.
