Gus Gus and Michael Mayer's label may have a hit on their hands in the shape of this chord-heavy trance pop track, but they are also catering to Kompakt's underground fans. The oddly named Life and Death Tale of Us & Tennis Picnic in the Graveyard remix is a deep techno lover's delight, its dreamy textures underpinned by lithe, sexy claps, while Sasse delivers two excellent remixes. The spiraling acid on the dub version just about surpasses the heavy claps and heavy stabs of the remix. Meanwhile, the Veirans Simple house version caters for deep, dreamy house and President Bongo's version strips the track back to a 303-led minimum but doesn't omit the sensuous strings.
