WOLFEP 007
14 February, 2011
Review:
In the space of six unmissable releases, Wolf Music has established itself as a 'go to' label for those who like their house deep, chunky and discofied. This split EP - first released on vinyl at the tail end of 2010 - is another essential purchase. All three tracks manage that irresistible trick of touching your soul and moving your feet. "Make Love", the opener from Brothers Rice, teases a sweltering synth disco groove for five blissful minutes. KRL delivers sturdy midtempo deep house grooves and heart-warming vocal samples on "Machine Code", before Fantastic Man rounds off proceedings with a classic late night deep houser just oozing with simmering late night sensuality. Brilliant.
