Product Information:
Brilliant release from the Million Dollar Disco camp, throwing the spotlight on the mid seventies Canadian disco edit troupe PAJ Disco Mix. This trio of aspiring DJs from Quebec produced the edits collected here between 1975 and 1978, and secured vital club play via a blossoming relationship with Canada's premiere disk jockey, The Limelight's Robert Ouimet. Fans of vintage disco will be all over the heavily orchestrated dubby rerub of the discothèque standard "Love Bug" by Bumblebee Unlimited. What really impresses is "Montage La Roue" where Cerrone's "Look For Love" is looped and used as the backdrop to a succession of disco hits perfectly blended in over seven minutes. Given the period in which it was recorded, such brilliance resulting from a mastery of primitive tape machine technology can only be applauded.
