Review:
H-Foundation dominated the tribal house sound a decade ago and this remix package serves as a reminder of why they were such a force to be reckoned with. D'Julz adds a dark, Suburban Knight-style bassline to "Passage of Time", but it's really the US duo's pounding, pumping dub beats that power the reshape. Similarly, Paul Ritch delivers a yelping, rolling take on "Magic K", but it's the tasteful Ibizan guitars and sunset melodies that prevail. Meanwhile, the inclusion of "Slayin the Dragon" is a reminder that H-Foundation were also comfortable exploring deep house, and Klartraum's remix succeeds in underpinning their jazzed out vibes with a moody, recoiling dub bass.
