With their audacious and unlikely cover versions, bouncing energy and hipster-ish following, Hackney Colliery Band come across as the tongue-in-cheek clowns of the WahWah 45s roster - a post-modern musical joke that works. This may seem a little harsh, but it's not meant to be; musically, they rarely put a foot wrong. Here, they show their playful side once more by offering a rousing brass band medley of three Prodigy rave classics. It's as floor-friendly and exuberant as usual, dropping the tempo for "Out of Space" before raising the roof with those familiar "No Good" riffs. Flip for "Owl Sanctuary", a more earnest number that recalls the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble at their best.
