Will Rodriguez' Reelsoul alias is back on top form with this new release on mn2s, featuring the searing soulful vocals of Dawn Tallman. Blurring the lines between classic house, nu-jazz and boogie, the acid Moog bassline and broken beats melt together perfectly over a 127 BPM rhythmic pulse. Jerry Flores' "Classic Place" mix is a deeper excursion, with thudding subs recalling early 90s garage, while George Vibe drops a classic gospel treatment, complete with long, lingering strings that back up the vocals expertly.
