Review:
BBE dig into their archives to reacquaint your ears with the brilliantly smooth Yoruba remixes of DJ Jazzy Jeff available digitally for the first time ever. Originally out in 2002 as part of Jazzy Jeff's entry to the labels stellar Beat Generation series (in which even Will. I.Am. excelled) "Rock Wit U" was transformed into a NYC anthem by Osunlade, getting major props from Masters At Work and Joe Claussel. Signature Yoruba percussion, warm melodies and intricate rhythms punctuate both the main and dub version. Additional tweaks from the legendary Philly DJ himself that lean on the dreamy future soul tip demand investigation.
