Hype has been building around this release for some time, with vinyl enthusiasts scrambling to secure copies of the limited edition 12" single. It's great news for digital DJs, then, that EMI have decided to make these two excellent Roxy Music remixes available for download. The real killer is Todd Terje's punk-funk Disco Dub of "Love Is The Drug", which offers the perfect balance between rigid dancefloor heaviness and typically Norwegian disco looseness. That said, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas' collaborative rework of "Avalon" is excellent, too. With heaps of dubbiness and a lazy Balearic shuffle, it has echoes of their superb early work on Eskimo Recordings. Highly recommended.
