Usually when the term 'deep' is thrown around dubstep it means dark, dank and dungeon bound. Not today, though: The "Moda" EP flips this formula assumption for something much more organic. The title track is a stuttering guitar-based lullaby that sounds not dissimilar to Warp's Clark. "Chrysalis", meanwhile, is as softly spoken as a Bonobo joint. "Enveloped" follows on a similar flex with developed rhythms and lush over-layered guitar twangs. "Leaves" leaves us lingering with the most meditative moment of the set. Deep, delicious and soulful - dubstep needs more of this.
