Review:
The second EP from Spanish producer Pedro Ortuno Benito (aka Mr Gagun) features a classy set of remixes of his funky "Set You Off", as well as a new extended version featuring the sexy vocals of Alejandra Barella. Guy Gomez takes the tune out to the disco while adding some subtle electro bass and layering Barella's vocals over it all perfectly. Saul Wolf goes for a more breaks-heavy version, while Van Rubi flips it into a smooth funky house joint, relete with long, edit-style percussion breaks. Fans of nu-jazz will also flip for Nitrobass & Q-rro's sleek mix of horns and wah-wah guitar.
