Review:
Last heard lurking on Sextoy Volume 10, the uncompromising Disconnect Head returns with yet another abrasive selection. Living up to the label's rather saucy moniker, each of the four tracks on offer certainly vibrate! Limbering up with "Bang!" we're thrown into his unrelenting spiky electro murkery from the off. Think Digitalism, but on a really moody flex. "Partez Pas" follows. The riff isn't quite so violent but there's still plenty of angular jiggery pokery to be found amid the solid four/four. "Time Out" follows and carries numerous echoes of "Bang!" with it. It almost sounds like a cop-out until you hear the final piece "Bang! Time Out", a cute combo of the two. An interesting concept - and one that opens up all sorts of creative mixing ideas.
