Review:
The feisty hybrid styles of RackNRuin have been happily flitting about between genres for some time, making them perfect fodder for Herve's Cheap Thrills stable. "Slow Down" rocks a woody percussion approach that maximises the tone of those tom-like instruments for maximum hype, while the rhythm comes flying out at a breakstep pace. "Burning" meanwhile pulls no punches as it whips out some fearsome mid-range synth and a heavily processed vocal hook. This is brash, beat-driven music to inspire all kinds of bass faces and general hysteria in the dance, so get busy moving or get bowled over by the weight behind this production.
