Review:
The miserable British summer may have long since passed, but no one seems to have told Needwant. Here, they attempt to kick-start a long overdue Indian summer with a quartet of bespoke nu-Balearic beauties. Fete's "Song For Her" leads the eyes-wide-shut charge, offering a bracing early morning stroll through child-like melodies, laidback pianos and gorgeous electronic grooves. Finnish studio boffins Hannulelairi handle the remix, fixing the original piano melodies to a chugging, dancefloor-friendly groove. Perhaps most impressive, though, are the two new cuts from little-known producer Black Marlin. Both "Forest" and "Autumn" deliver a dewy-eyed mix of slo-mo Balearic goodness and intergalactic electronica tailor-made for starry nights and sunny mornings.
