Review:
Sliding over to Bodywork after making some noises on Southern Fried last year, Firas' new EP is definitely a game of two halves. For those seeking out steady, well kept house music, "Stray" can give you plenty of what you need. Delicate arpeggios and keys weave themselves around a vocal hook, while the warm bass ticks away underneath. Bringing a different vibe to the floor, "For Those Who Know" works on a slow electro rhythmic template, ditching the regimented 4/4 in favour of something a little more broken. It's still very much a workable track that should slot in smoothly whether it's a bassy vibe you're after or you want to take it housier.
