Review:
The latest release on Loco Dice's label has some expected and unexpected moments. TINI does a fine job of delivering all the usual elements that Desolat is known for - organic drums, stripped back rhythms and sassy, shaking percussion - but then adds some less predictable elements. In particular, "All The Good Stuff" tells an entertaining story about a flight getting diverted and "sect for breakfast" over a warm bassy groove and "Blond Galipette" does a neat line in string-soaked seduction as a breathy French vocal seduces the listener. The best moment however is when TINI diverts from the script and delivers the gentle lullaby melodies and offbeat drums of "Someone Loves You".
