Review:
A much-anticipated return from producer Adam Scrimshire, who follows up 2008's "Along Came The Devil One Night" with the excellent funk, roots, soul and psych-rock of The Hollow LP. The guest vocalists Scrimshire has coaxed onto the album provide some of the most memorable moments, such as Heidi Vogel (from Cinematic Orchestra) adding to the Ethio-funk of "Everything You Say" or Faye Houston's turn on the mournful "Home". However, instrumental moments such as the epic, slo-mo jazz of "Ajar" prove to be the album's real heart and a testament to the giant steps in Scrimshire's production.
