Review:
In light of his increasing profile, Seams and Full Time Hobby have deemed it fit to revisit Seams' first EP and re-issue it with an additional EP to represent where the producer has been in the interim two years. While his sound has maintained an idiosyncratic nature, there's a clear divide between the pastoral, folky sound sources on the original Tourist set, and the more feisty electronics on Sleeper. While the boundaries were never too constrained to begin with ("Platz" dallies gently into a junglistic roll-out without breaking a sweat), it's pleasing to see a pride placed on earlier work when Seams' new output is much more apparently focused towards contemporary electro-indebted dance music.
