Perhaps the most endearing feature of Romanian techno producer Triptil's tracks is the looseness of his percussion. While still rock solid and dancefloor-friendly, there's a genuine swing to his beats, particularly on lead cut "Apus De Luna" - a kind of hazy, minimal techno cut re-cast as a tumbling breakbeat house jam. The murkier, bass-heavy "Kool Skool" takes a more traditional approach, but there's still a pleasingly rubbery feel to the alien electronics and late night groove. Even "Hands On It", a kind of tribute to post-industrial delay with dystopian overtones, feels pleasingly bouncy despite its post-apocalyptic vibe.
