Review:
A tune that stood out on Skint's recent Hidden Gems Vol.2 collection, "Trumpet Train" gets three new leases of life on this release. Hoxton Whores take it out on a deep house adventure and pack the mood full of tense reverbs, while Dan McKie's Fish Don't Dance mix makes central use of the original's Eastern samples by looping a particularly wild horn riff and riding it into a very groovy place indeed. UK producer Mark Ustari rounds off with a masterclass in mood-building slow filtering.
