London label Process has put out a series of impressive melodic techno releases lately, and its latest record, Djamel's Voyeurism In High Definition, fits this bill. Over a warm, rolling groove, Djamel lays down a sensuous, sublime melody line and some jazzy keys that ebb and flow together seamlessly. Process artist Corrugated Tunnel delivers a version that makes nods to the current techno trend for found sounds and abstract textures, and the end result is a gloriously woozy version for the dancefloor. Meanwhile, the Lo Def take has a more liquid, fluid feeling, as Djamel's melodies are laid over lithe yet rolling rhythms.
