Review:
It's been nine years since Vincenzo released his much-checked debut album. In that time, he seems to have had a kind of crisis of confidence, because Wherever I Lay My Head is a distinctly different beast to debut Welcome To Zanarkand. For starters, it's distinctly less dancefloor-focussed, instead offering a home stereo-friendly take on deep house that sleepily ambles between weary positivity and sparkling melodic intent. It's a formula that largely hits the mark, offering a somewhat epic mix of gorgeously sunny grooves and melancholic shufflers. Certainly, it will find fans amongst those who enjoy breezy deep house, and when it really hits the mark, it's nothing short of sublime.
