With R&S well and truly back in the game, their ambient sub label Apollo is also enjoying something of a resurgence after the excellent EP from Synkro. Now bright young thing Jack Dixon is on the case with some shimmering deep house cuts that go that little bit further in living up to the name. Echoing synths and quietly shuffling beats typify the EP, while the prevalence of pitched and contorted vocal samples lends a mournful quality to all four tracks. With an immersive sound that has one foot firmly in the dub camp, the clean cut bliss out of the You Won't Let Me EP possesses the strength to soothe many a raging raver.
