Review:
Dan "Caribou" Snaith can do no wrong right now. Having already delivered the remix of the year with his triumphant rework of Virgo Four, here he sets about re-casting glacial synth-poppers the Junior Boys as spooky electronic miserablists. In his hands, the jolly "You'll Improve Me" is transformed into a dark, darting electronic soundscape full of rumbling acid house riffs, mutant electro bleeps and reverb-laden vocal snippets. It's a pretty remarkable remix, all told. Dem 2's version, meanwhile, adds Jeremy Greenspan's vocals and snatches of the original synths to a loose, stepping future garage rhythm.
