Its time for some party electro sounds once again with volume 10 in X-Beats 'Dance Reworks' series. With six tracks on offer at a bargain price they are all about bringing a euro dance flavor with plenty of catchy hooks, recognizable samples and above all else plenty of fun. Highlights for us are; 'Swede Nothing' (their take on the Florence smash), 'Beauty And The Beat', and 'Leaving You', but every single one of the them is ready to win over the commercial floors and do the damage. Grab these in time for the weekend!!

Originally released last December, Zinc's Sasha Keable-fronted electro wriggler "Only For Tonight" gets the remix treatment from TEED (low-swung, sludgy bass jack session) and the up-and-coming Maison Sky (warped garage with trippy pitched down vocals, oddball percussion and waspish bass). In case you and the original aren't familiar yet, it's here in both its soul-coated vocal glory and naked bouncy instrumental state.

London's Alex Metric is one of those rarities in a producer who flirts with various genres and refreshingly becomes un-pigeon-hole-able. From house to progressive to disco, and at the moment with EPs on Skrillex' OWSLA to this on his more traditional tip for French label Compuphonic. We loved the original, and now these remixes one again up the game. On the retro disco vibe it is all about Olivers mix, however for the progressive and house heads out there head for the wonderfully smooth Fingerpaint remix or the deeper and pacier cut from Dosem.. We are loving this!!

Over the past few years Australian songstress Emma Hewitt has steadily and credibly worked her way from features on producers records to becoming a name in her own right. Her lyrical talents are as strong and unique as her tone and delivery and here we have a classy array of new remixes for a track lifted from her 'Burn The Sky Down' album. Mikka thrashes out a heavily electro influence party starter, with Dabruck & Klein following suit. Both will do the damage however for us its fellow countryman TyDi who produces something more sympathetic to the Original.

With a remix debut on Sound Pellegrino and a solo debut on Ed Banger, Parisian artist Boston is quite the hot tip right now. Taking the acid house and Chicago warehouse vibes of yore (think Pierre, Hardy, Green Velvet) and adding that French touch, there's something both retro and forward looking about this trio of tracks. "Closer" is the quirkiest of the pair with the strange crackles and warping on the cowbells and sleazy-assed groove. "Urnmae" is more of a nod to Mr Fingers, but done with a prog-like glow that wouldn't have gone amiss in a Sasha & Digweed set back in the proverbial. Last but not least, the title track "House Call" is a serious jack-attack. Keep listening...

If there was ever a label that can throw together a killer progressive and psy compilation its Denmark's Iboga. Long standing pioneers of both genres and still a flagship for what's hot right now (and in the future). Of late they have unearthed some exciting new talent to boost the plethora of long standing established names on the books. Here we have a massive 15 tracks for a cut price, with everyone from Perfect Stranger, and Felguk, through to Beat Bizarre and Spektre. Just a couple of the highlights include 'Knockdown' from Weekend Heroes & Jerome Isma-Ae, Andrea Bertolini ' Headed In Crimea', and Riktam & Bansi 'Lesson'... Get stuck into this lot!

French electro goes one of two ways - super sexy Daft Punk/Breakbot style. Or all-out teeth-baring Surkin/French Fries style. Panteros666 is definitely in the latter category. And they're not teeth; they're fangs! Whether you're being battered into submission by the tonked-up Picotto-flavoured drama of the twisted "Euroshima", or you're being felt up by the grabby mechanical hands of "Snaredrum Warfare" or you're grabbing the white gloves and glo-sticks from the 1990s treasure chest, this adds a whole new dimension to the reassuringly expansive French electro scene.

We all know by now that John Digweeds Bedrock bring the heat to the floor, and over the past year they have been at their very best. This latest release is a real gem with two of our favourite forward thinking producers coming together. Belgian techno don Marco Bailey hot on the heels of his 'High Volume' album, locks horns with fellow countryman Filterheadz for two wicked tech-meets-prog smashers. First up is the dark and twisted 'Mansion' with a throbbing bottom end and eerie fills, while 'Avenue' in perfect contrast is lighter and funkier with a relentless techno rhythm and the Filterheadz trademark tribal vibes flashing through. This is a partnership that most definitely works, more of the same please!

You will struggle to find a release from Denmark's Iboga label that is anything other than brilliant, they kill it in the progressive and psy world like no other. The latest is yet another glistening example of what they do so well. Behind Blue Eyes and Phaxe team up for the eerily building 'Medusa', with it's sinister rising synth lines and atmospherically thrilling fills fluttering amongst the mix, on a solid percussive backbone. The overall mix is full bodied and constantly entertaining. There's two mixes of 'Merlin' also, with Rocky's progger taking precedent over Gleb Golds half time workout.. Loving this release!

With the weather getting warming and summer not to far away , you can almost taste the festival air and tracks like these from Finland's Jesse Oliver will have you even more excited for alfresco partying and evenings on the white Isle. 'Oceans' is a wonderfully emotive and warming progressive track with a bubbling bassline and a barrage of intricately layered melodies that will put an instant smile on your face. Music like this is good for the soul and is one to keep for when summer does land. 'Nicodemus' on the b-side is also well worth a play. A name to look out for this year, we are predicting big things.

Henry Riton's last release was the co-incidentally-titled Dark Place, which came out shortly after the tragic death of his Carte Blanche partner, DJ Medhi in 2011.Having understandably kept a low profile since then, he's now back with this powerful new release on Ed Banger. "Bang Your Head" is a hysterical, anthemic acid freak-out, "Dance To The Great Golfball In The Sky", is a glammy electro-house stomper, and "Lost My Mind" is, surprisingly, a total ghetto hip-hop curveball that's echoed on EP closer, "Girls In The Hood" - a deep and heavy bass-led grinder boasting a cameo from French Electroclash chanteuse Miss Kittin. Good to have him back!

There aren't many pairings in electronic music as well suited as Denmark's legendary Iboga label and their standout pioneering star Perfect Stranger. Forward thinking progressive music with more than a touch of psy trance thrown into the mix. His recent album 'Lead of Faith' is still on our playlist, and ranks as one of the finest in it's field over the past 12 months. They now look back to the title track and enlist two fresh remixes, (as there is plenty of life left in the LP). Our pick of the two is the floor friendly Riktam & Bansi rework, which keeps things light and bubbling while bringing in some techno influences with grooving moods, notably in the beats and bottom end. It's a real party moment that will work in a wide spectrum of sets, and sound super fresh!

Be prepared for something special here, with a stack of new remixes on the Kris Menace and Robert Owens collab "Trusting Me". We loved the Original, which bought the incredible musicality of Menace, alongside the wonderful soulfulness of the legend that is Robert Owens. Penner & Muder lead the mixes with a nicely smooth prog mix, perfect for early doors mood setting. Le Crayon ventures down a filtered disco route, while Good Guy Mikesh goes all classic house. For us it's the Taras 900, and Phunktastike Heart mixes which standout, both bringing the vibes from prog to house. This is unmissable.

House legends Freemasons are back to their very best, with another new single (on the back of 'Bring It Back') on their own Freemaison label. It's refreshing to have quality feel-good-house back at the forefront, with the duos trademark tough groove mixed with uplifting melodies and an incessantly catchy hook shining through. This is full of that nostalgic vibe from hits like 'Lola's Theme' but with a fresh and forward thinking 2013 edge. Freemasons have always loved a vocal and Joel Edwards really delivers on 'Dirty Organ'. We predict a big year back at the top for these guys!

The legend that is Paul Van Dyk has had a great year, with his 'Evolution' album reminding us what a great producer he is. One of the biggest tracks from that LP here gets some serious remix treatment curtsey of 3Beat. Adam Young's crossover vocals are of course the central point for all the interpretations, with man of the moment Austin Leeds coming up trumps on his proggy cut. Every box is ticked, with a banging Drum & Bass mix from Camo & Krooked, uplifting trance from Giuseppe Ottaviani, and an edgier peak time slammer from fast rising star Gary Proud.. See which one your feeling!

Russian duo Hard Rock Sofa on Axwell's label means only one thing, dancefloor dynamite. The pair follow similar big room house bombs 'Blow Up' and the Swanky Tunes collab 'Here We Go' with another in-your-face stomper. Hard hitting almost marching beats, chug along with plenty of thud while the synth and epic rolls build like a skyscraper, screeching their way to the breakdown and garnering cheers from every single person in the crowd. Musicality and emotion are left at the door on this one, this is all about sheer power and crowd reaction with the energy levels heightening and twisting from the moment you hit play. It's been smashing in for the main man Axwell across the globe, and it's easy to see why.. DJs from house to trance, get to know!

Review:
You know those tunes that worm their way into your head and permanently tattoo themselves onto your ear drums? Then you'll know all about "Spaceman". Hooky, euphoric and unarguably hedonistic, Hardwell has delivered one almighty peaktime banger here. Busting moves on the dancefloor polished and primed by the likes of Will.I.Am, Guetta and the Swedish House Mafia, this combines all the best elements of electro, house and trance with a vocal that demands radio attention. Looking for something a bit harder? Then head directly to the Headhunterz remix for a rub so hardcore technotastic it's almost got a donk on it. Dubsteppers should opt for Drown The Fish's remix while moombahton fans will be more than happy with the downpitched Naffz remix.
