Review:
Its time for some party electro sounds once again with volume 10 in X-Beats 'Dance Reworks' series. With six tracks on offer at a bargain price they are all about bringing a euro dance flavor with plenty of catchy hooks, recognizable samples and above all else plenty of fun. Highlights for us are; 'Swede Nothing' (their take on the Florence smash), 'Beauty And The Beat', and 'Leaving You', but every single one of the them is ready to win over the commercial floors and do the damage. Grab these in time for the weekend!!

PAUL VAN DYK feat ADAM YOUNG

Review:
The legend that is Paul Van Dyk has had a great year, with his 'Evolution' album reminding us what a great producer he is. One of the biggest tracks from that LP here gets some serious remix treatment curtsey of 3Beat. Adam Young's crossover vocals are of course the central point for all the interpretations, with man of the moment Austin Leeds coming up trumps on his proggy cut. Every box is ticked, with a banging Drum & Bass mix from Camo & Krooked, uplifting trance from Giuseppe Ottaviani, and an edgier peak time slammer from fast rising star Gary Proud.. See which one your feeling!

Review:
London's Alex Metric is one of those rarities in a producer who flirts with various genres and refreshingly becomes un-pigeon-hole-able. From house to progressive to disco, and at the moment with EPs on Skrillex' OWSLA to this on his more traditional tip for French label Compuphonic. We loved the original, and now these remixes one again up the game. On the retro disco vibe it is all about Olivers mix, however for the progressive and house heads out there head for the wonderfully smooth Fingerpaint remix or the deeper and pacier cut from Dosem.. We are loving this!!

Review:
Originally released last December, Zinc's Sasha Keable-fronted electro wriggler "Only For Tonight" gets the remix treatment from TEED (low-swung, sludgy bass jack session) and the up-and-coming Maison Sky (warped garage with trippy pitched down vocals, oddball percussion and waspish bass). In case you and the original aren't familiar yet, it's here in both its soul-coated vocal glory and naked bouncy instrumental state.

This is one for the heads, quality techno meets progressive bringing the sounds of Detroit and Tokyo together. These tracks are spacey and atmospheric, tailor made for those smoke filled underground floors. Title track 'Blue Love' has a captivating vocal from Erika Tele which floats beautifully above the bubbling beats and bassline while a soaring string glistens through. There is a dub for the vocally shy, and also included is the brilliant Cafe mix of 'Dark Deceptions' for those really deep and twisted moments. A big EP of raw electronic music which will both educate and entertain!

Review:
Having spent a good few years cultivating his hybrid bass-led sound, Rob Davies commits to a full-length to further expand on the spacious, atmospheric tones that his prior singles have always gravitated towards. There's a delicate touch at work, from the gossamer drop on "Hart" to the expressive slithers of synth on "Arrow Tune", and even when the beats are falling hard and clattering, there's a supple feeling to Davies' constructions. The tracks maintain the forward-momentum of techno even as they embrace all manner of rhythms and tempo, while the melodics celebrate the possibilities afforded by digital production without compromising on depth and warmth, making for a wholly captivating debut LP.

Review:
With plenty of heat and hype building from the underground and streets, the talented singer/rapper Zee Musiq gets the full club remix treatment for her latest single 'High'. With support across Radio 1xtra and Rinse she looks set for big things and these cool and classy remixes from the likes of DJ SKT make for a really nice soulful house moment, bringing plenty of summer vibes. Her songwriting and smooth vocals flow effortlessly with the housey flavours, and there's also a very of-the-moment UKG mix from Crezza, as well as a big room cut from Tucka. All bases covered on this solid release, and we are tipping Zee Musiq for big things this year. Lock in and get to know!!

Review:
This will either make you feel old or nonplussed but the original "Magic Carpet Ride" is now over 17 years old. With its distinctive vocal hook and spirited Latino horn lament, it still sounds unlike anything else to this day. But for added measure, Southern Fried have ensured it's kept up to date with a whole barrage of remixes that span from a deep-grooved percussive tribal workout (Marcus Knight remix) to, amazingly, a traditional dub version (Sona Vabos remix). Other highlights include 2 Guys From Venice, who take influence from Snoop's "Drop It Like It's Hot", and Gunrose who've opted for an all-out acid freak session.

Review:
America's Tritonal have been making serious waves over the past year or so, with their close association with the Enhanced label playing a key part in their steady development to now be ranked in the elite. Here they present four new cuts of one of the standout tracks from their 'Metamorphic' EP. The unique tones of vocalist Underdown plays a key part in all these, with the pair leading the charge with their own up tempo and power synth festival mix that will raise the atmosphere and blood pressure. We are feeling the crunchy cut from US upcoming producer Ken Loi with plenty of attitude working in contrast with the big melodies. A more twisted and darker interpretation from Sebjak is also well worth a spin.
