Review: DJ Schwa hails from Sydney, but his geographical location doesn't preclude him from being plugged in to contemporary house. For the most part, this compilation focuses on disco-influenced tracks, including the funk bassline and sample-heavy "Safety Ghetto" from Murat Kilic and the building chords and shuffling tribal beats of the Pezzner remix of Trinity & Beyond 's "Near & Far". However, the real highlights occur when Schwa steps outside this comfort zone. The ponderous vocals and sensuous hooks of Hallow from David Garcet & K Hocini is reminiscent of classic deep house, but even it can't compare to the clipped US garage beats, sensuous chords and doubled up claps of "High On Music" by Deep Bros.

Review: Everyone's favourite nu-rave radio host returns with his second artist album, and pretty much business as usual. Kissy just wants to dance - and ideally like a man with electrodes attached to his nether regions. It's no surprise, then, that Wild Romance goes for the jugular straight away and never lets up. This is big, brash, bold, wobbly, in-your-face dancefloor music for people who just want to have fun. Think classic hardcore, electro-house, nu-rave, breakbeat, dubstep, hip-hop, hip-house and Lord knows what else, all thrown together in manic musical mutations that defy logic and easy categorization. Utterly bonkers - and that's a good thing.
